Competition Terms and Conditions
Name Our Billboard Cow Competition
Promoter: Burnie Agricultural & Pastoral Society.
Competition period: The competition opens when the original competition post is published on the Burnie Show & Agri-Expo Facebook page on Sunday 23 August 2026 and closes at 8pm AEST Sunday 6 September 2026.
How to enter: Entry is free. To enter, comment a suggested name for the Burnie Show billboard cow on the original competition post published by the official Burnie Show & Agri-Expo Facebook page.
Comments made on shared posts, reminder posts or other pages will not be counted.
Multiple entries are permitted. Please submit one suggested name per comment.
Tagging family or friends is optional and is not a requirement of entry and does not increase the chance of winning.
Prize: One Family Pass to the 2026 Burnie Show & Agri-Expo, comprising admission for 2 adults and 2 children. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Judging: This is a judged competition and is not a random draw. The Burnie Agricultural & Pastoral Society committee will select its favourite eligible name based on originality, suitability and Burnie Show spirit.
If the selected name has been suggested by more than one entrant, the first eligible person to submit that name will be the winner.
The committee’s decision is final.
Winner: The winner will be announced on the official Burnie Show & Agri-Expo Facebook page on Wednesday 9 September 2026 and contacted privately by the page.
The winner must respond within 72 hours. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond, the committee reserves the right to select another eligible entry.
Entrants under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter and claim the prize.
The promoter reserves the right to remove or exclude entries that are offensive, inappropriate or otherwise unsuitable.
By entering, entrants acknowledge that the selected cow name may be used by the Burnie Agricultural & Pastoral Society in future promotional, advertising and event materials without further compensation.
The winner’s name and winning cow name may be published on Burnie Show & Agri-Expo promotional channels.
Scam awareness: The winner will only be contacted by the official Burnie Show & Agri-Expo Facebook page. We will never request payment or credit card details in order to claim the prize.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. Entrants release Facebook from any responsibility associated with the promotion.
